On a recent trip to Seattle, I riled the flight attendant by taking a photograph of this unsettling image. She asked me what I was doing. I said that I was just taking a picture -- the image was disturbing to me. She became extremely defensive -- over explaining why they needed infant live preservers while passionately defending Northwest's safety record. After a bizarre conversation, I just sat down.

I was relieved that I didn't have an infant in tow.
